In Iran, the parliament is the center of gravity of politics and decision-making about the country's issues. Therefore, due to the position of the parliament, this power can supervise and have a vote in various political, cultural and economic issues. One of the most important issues faced by the Islamic Council after its formation was the eight-year war between Iraq and Iran.
Purpose: To analyze the cultural positions of the representatives of the second term of the Islamic Council regarding the Iraq-Iran war
Research methodology: content analysis method with emphasis on theme analysis method
The article is based on the detailed discussions of the second session of the Islamic Legislative Council, which aims to answer the question, what positions did the representatives of the second session of the Islamic Legislative Council take regarding the Iraq-Iran war?
Conclusion: The findings of the article show that with the start of the war imposed by Iraq against Iran, the representatives, in line with the Islamic values and culture emanating from the Islamic Revolution, tried to encourage the people to resist, preserve unity, preserve the effects of war, and encourage culture. They fought jihad.
