The Effect of Iranian National Narrations on Georgian Historiography

Abstract

The most important historical source of Georgia, is “The Georgian Chronicles”. This source was written between 8 to 14 A. D in 13 separated section and by various historians. The first 3 section of this collection, “History of the Kings of the Georgia”, The Life of Nino “The Life of Vachtang Gorgasali” contains important information about ancient Iran history.
In the middle of all this, first work, “History of the Kings of the Georgia” was written by Leonti Mrovli. The author with the knowledge of the epic literature of Iran and Iranian national narratives, has written this work. In this article related resources with Iran's history from which Leonti Merovli was benefited and his way to take advantage of this resource will be reviewed.
