In Iran, the case has been even more interesting. Pre-Islamic Iranian culture treated celebrations and ceremonials with a special regard. There were several monthly celebrations most of them related with religion and agriculture. After converting Iranian people to Islam, a good number of these celebrations, particularly Nawrūz and Mehrgān survived and continued to being performed at due dates. Abbasid caliphs in contrary to their Umayyad predecessors, who used to maintain a strong bias for Arab race and culture, were interested in Persian culture and ceremonials. Their affecting by Persian mirror for princes as well as the influential presence of Iranian viziers like Ibn Muqaffa’, the Barmakides, etc. in Abbasid court has contributed to this cultural survival. This study has touched upon the situation of Iranian celebrations during early Abbasid period as a subject which needs more investigation. In this way, it mainly relied on sparse textual materials which are mostly gleaned from different library sources. It proceeded through an analytical method in order to compose these textual materials into an explanative narration. The results show that the primary purpose of the Abbasid caliphs’ tolerance for Iranian celebration was of political and expedient nature. Nawrūz, Mehrgān and Sedeh were more customary celebrations which their holding was of financial importance.}, keywords = {Celebration,Nawrūz,Mehrgān,Sedeh,early Abbasid period}, title_fa = {جشن‌های ایرانی در دورة اول عباسی (132- 232 ق)}, abstract_fa = {یکی از مظاهر تمدن نزد هر ملتی، جشن‌هاست. ایرانیان در دوران باستان، جشن‌های دینی متعددی داشتند. با فراگیری اسلام در میان ایرانیان، برخی از جشن‌های گذشته فراموش شد و بعضی به حیات خود ادامه داد. عباسیان که به‌شدت متأثر از فرهنگ ایرانی بودند در کنار اعیاد اسلامی به جشن‌های گذشتة ایرانیان مانند مهرگان و نوروز نیز توجه داشتند. تأثیر خلافت عباسی از ‌آداب‌الملوک ایرانی و نفوذ خاندان‌های معروف ایرانی چون آل‌برمک نیز در اهمیت‌یافتن این جشن‌ها سهم زیادی داشت. این مقاله بر آن است تا جشن‌های ایرانی دورة اول خلافت عباسی را بررسی کند. با توجه به ماهیت موضوع، روش تحقیق مبتنی‌بر تجزیه و تحلیل اطلاعات جمع‌آوری‌شده از منابع موثق و دست اول و همچنین تحقیقات معاصر است. در این پژوهش نشان داده شده است که جشن‌های این دوره از فرهنگ ایرانی تأثیر بسیاری پذیرفته است و عرب‌ها بیش از هر‌چیز، برای دست‌یافتن به اهداف سیاسی خود و جلب مشارکت و همکاری ایرانیان کارآمد در دستگاه خلافت، با برپایی مراسم جشن‌ها مخالفتی نشان ندادند و دراین‌باره با تسامح رفتار کردند. از میان جشن‌های ایرانی دوران باستان، نوروز و مهرگان و سده و برخی جشن‌های کم‌اهمیت‌تر نظیر جشن رَکوب‌الکوسَج در این دوره رایج بود. هم‌زمانی با زمان مالیات‌گیری، دریافت هدایا، و خوش‌گذرانی رایج در این جشن‌ها علت پذیرش آن‌ها بود.}, keywords_fa = {جشن‌های ایرانی,نوروز,مهرگان,سده,عصر اول عباسی}, url = {https://historicalstudy.ihcs.ac.ir/article_212.html}, eprint = {https://historicalstudy.ihcs.ac.ir/article_212_6c1fb620e2d29e54991dac81fa32ed04.pdf} }
